Horizon: trusted layer across major nightlife cities

A great night generates enormous value — energy, memory, belonging — and then deletes itself. When the lights come on, the connection between performers, venues and fans evaporates. DJs and clubs depend on intermediaries and social networks never designed for them, monetising attention instead of access.

The founder story

For more than two decades, DJFAN's founder lived a double life: spinning records in nightclub booths and building digital platforms as a serial technology entrepreneur. DJFAN, founded in London in 2023, is the bridge between his two worlds — a creator platform for DJs, producers and venues designed to give a single evening a long tail. His shorthand: you can't scale nightlife without understanding it from the booth. Culture first, scale second.

Innovation & technology

The platform bundles what club culture actually needs: customisable artist and venue profiles, fan subscriptions with exclusive perks, multimedia posts, a digital store for unreleased tracks and remixes, VIP and backstage management, fan chat, and a mobile-first interface built for 2 a.m. Stripe underpins payments; engineering priorities are real-time performance and stability when clubs are full across multiple cities at once.

Business impact

The strongest engagement signal surprised no one who has stood in a booth: fans pay for exclusive access, not volume. The commission-based model aligns every incentive: no upfront fees, the platform earns only when artists earn. Success is measured in repeat fans, cross-event interaction and revenue per active user — sustainable value, not vanity metrics.

Editorial opinion

Every creator platform claims community; almost none have stood in one at 3 a.m. DJFAN's edge is not a feature list — it is fluency. The platform speaks nightlife natively, and in culture businesses, fluency is the moat that money cannot buy.

If a tool doesn't work at 2 a.m., it doesn't belong.
